Skiing areas in
East Switzerland
|
East Switzerland is part of the
Switzerland and has simultaneously with many mountains and with it connected the
winter sport possibilities and free time activities something more to offer. In this country
one can find the world cultural heritage of St.Gallen and Streuobstwiesen am See in Thurgau.
But there are also the Rheinfall in Schaffhausen, idyllic Alps lakes in the Glarnerland
and breathtaking mountains in Toggenburg. Worth seeing is certainly the 2001 opened
Hunderwasser market-hall in Altenrhein 2001. |

Also the well-known principality
Liechtenstein is located in East Switzerland. The minor state between Austria and
Switzerland offers nearly 400 kilometres of best prepared footpaths, all in all nearly
200 ski run kilometres in the winter-sport area Toggenburg, Heidiland and Glarnerland
and also several 100 kilometres prepared cross-country trails.
Furthermore is East Switzerland as a "Veloland" very popular by cyclists and
mountainbikers, because it offers a marvellous signposted net of cycle tracks. |
